The sixth part of Dalail ul Khairaate .

 

O Allah, bless our lord Muhammad and the family of our lord Muhammad, and grant him the Closest Access, the Pre-eminence, the Lofty Rank, and send him to the Most Praised Station which You promised him for You so not renege on a promise.

O Allah, magnify his value, clarify his argument, embellish his proof make evident his excellent and accept his intercession for his Nation and establish us on his way, O Lord of the Worlds.

O Lord of the Mighty Throne.

O Allah, O Lord, gather us in his company and beneath his flag, have us drink from his drinking bowl and avail us of his love, Amen, O Lord of the Worlds.

O Allah, O Lord, bestow upon him, on our behalf, the best of peace and reward him, on our behalf, better than You have rewarded any Prophet on behalf of his Nation, O Lord of the Worlds.

O Allah, O Lord, I beseech You to forgive me, have mercy on me accept my repentance and remove from me all earthly and heavenly trials and tribulations, for You are the Power of all things.

Through Your Mercy forgive the believing men and women and the submitted men and women (i.e. Muslims), the living and the dead, and the Pleasure of Allah be with his pure wives, the Mothers of the believers, and the Pleasure of Allah be with his Companions, the Eminent Leaders of Guidance and Lamps of this Lower Life, and also with the Followers and the Followers of the Followers, salutations upon them until the Day of Resurrection, and praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds

(beginning of the third third)

O Allah, O Lord of souls and mortal flesh, I ask You for the sake the obedience of souls returning to their bodies (on the Day of Resurrection) and for the sake of the obedience of bodies becoming whole once again and for sake of Your Words which will order this and for the sake of Your exacting of Your rights over them, and for the sake of Your Creatures who are before You waiting for the apportioning of Your Decree, hoping for Your Mercy and fearing Your punishment, I ask that You bestow light in my eyes, remembrance of You during the day and the night upon my tongue, and provide me with good actions.

O Allah, bless our master Muhammad just as You blessed our master Abraham and sanctify our master Muhammad just as You sanctified our master Abraham.

O Allah, grant Your blessings and Your favors to our master Muhammad and the family of our of our master Muhammad just as You grant them to our master Abraham and the family of our master Abraham, for You are the Praiseworthy, the Mighty.

And sanctify our master Muhammad and the family of our master Muhammad just as You sanctified our master Abraham and the family of our master Abraham, for You are the Praiseworthy, the Mighty.

O Allah, bless our master Muhammad, Your slave and Your Messenger, and bless the believing men and women and the submitted men and women.

O Allah, bless our master Muhammad and his family as much as all that is encompassed by Your Knowledge, all that is contained in Your Book and all that is witnessed by Your angels, blessings which are eternal and which last as long as the Kingdom of Allah lasts.

O Allah, I beseech You in Your Greatest Names, those which I Know and those which I do not know, and in the Names that You have named Yourself, names I know not and names I shall I never know.

That You bless our master Muhammad, Your slave, Your Prophet and Your Messenger, in all that You created before the sky was built, the earth was spread out, the mountains were anchored down, the springs burst forth, the rivers flowed out, the sun blazed forth, the moon shone out, the plants illuminated the sky, the oceans began to flow and the trees gave of their fruit.

O Allah, bless our master Muhammad to the extent of Your Knowledge.

O Allah, bless our master Muhammad to the extent of Your Forbearance.

O Allah, bless our master Muhammad to the number of Your Words.

O Allah, bless our master Muhammad to the number of Your Favors.

O Allah, bless our master Muhammad to the extent of Your Grace.

O Allah, bless our master Muhammad to the extent of Your Generosity.

O Allah, bless our master Muhammad to the extent of Your Heavens

O Allah, bless our master Muhammad to the extent of Your Earth.

And bless our master Muhammad as many times as all the angels You have created in Your Seven Heavens.

And bless our master Muhammad as many times as all the jinn and humans and beings other than them, and the beasts and the birds and beings other them, that You have created in Your Earth.

And bless our master Muhammad in all that the Pen has written in the Knowledge of the Unseen and in all that the Pen will write until the Day of Resurrection and bless our master Muhammad in every dewdrop and in every raindrop and bless our master Muhammad as often as You are praised, as often as You are thanked, as often as Your Unity is declared, as often as You are magnified, as often as it is witnessed that You are indeed Allah, and bless our master Muhammad as many times as You and Your angels have already blessed him.

And bless our master Muhammad as many times as all those from Your creation who have already asked for blessings upon him and as many times as all those creation who have not asked for blessings upon him.

And bless our master Muhammad in every mountain in every grain of sand and in every stone.

And bless our master Muhammad in every tree and in every one of their leaves and in the soil and in its weight.

And bless our master Muhammad as many times as there have been years and that which You have created in them and that which dies in them.

And bless our master Muhammad in all that You create every day and in all that dies every day until the Day of Resurrection.

O Allah, bless our master Muhammad in every cloud sailing between the Heavens and the Earth and in every drop of their rain.

And bless our master Muhammad in every swirling wind in the East of the Earth and in the West, in the North and in the South.

And bless our master Muhammad as many times as there are stars in the sky.

And bless our master Muhammad as many times as all the fish, all the sea-creatures, all the water and all grains of sand and whatever else there is.

And bless our master Muhammad in every plant and in every stone.

And bless our master Muhammad as abundantly as there is fresh water

.

And bless our master Muhammad as abundantly as there is saltwater.

And bless our master Muhammad as much as the entire Favor shown to the whole of Your creation.

And bless our master Muhammad as much as Your vengeance and Your punishment on those who deny our master Muhammad, Allah’s blessings and peace upon him.

And bless our master Muhammad for as long as the duration of this world and the next.

And bless our master Muhammad for as long as the Your creatures will stay in The Garden.

And bless our master Muhammad for as long as the Your creatures will stay in The Hell.

And bless our master Muhammad equal to Your love for him and Your satisfaction with him.

And bless our master Muhammad equal to his love for You and his satisfaction with You and bless our bless our master Muhammad forever and ever and award him the Closest Position in Your Presence and grant him the Closest Access, the Pre-eminence, the Intercession and the Lofty Rank and send him to the Most Praised Station which You promised him, for You do not renege a promise.

O Allah, I beseech You, for the sake of the fact that You are my King my Lord, my Master, my Trust and my Hope, I beseech You for the honor of the Holy Month, the Holy Land, the Holy Sanctuary, and the tomb of Your Prophet, peace be upon him, that You bestow upon me Good, knowledge of which is Yours alone and that You remove from me Evil, knowledge of which is Yours alone.

O Allah, Who gave to our master Adam our master Seth.

And to our master Abraham our master Ismail and our master Isaac.

And Who returned our master Joseph to our master Jacob and Who removed the trials from our master Job.

And Who returned our Moses to his nation and Who increased our master Khidr in knowledge.

And Who gave our master David our master Solomon and to our master Zachariah our master John the Baptist.

And who gave to our Lady Mariam our master Jesus and Who protected the daughter of Shua’ib.

I ask you to bless our master Muhammad and all the Prophets and Messengers.

And You Who gave to our master Muhammad, Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him, the Great Intercession and the Lofty Rank, I ask You to forgive me my sins, conceal all failings, give me sanctuary from the Fire, grant me Your Pleasure and Your Safety and Your Forgiveness and Your Beneficence, and admit me into Your Garden along with those You have favored, the Prophets, the true ones, the martyrs and the righteous, for You are the Power of all existence.

And the blessings of Allah be upon our master Muhammad and upon his family as often as the wind has stirred the gathered clouds and as often as everything possessed of a soul has tasted death and send abundant peace and salutations to the People of Peace in the Abode

of Peace.

O Allah, keep me for what You created me for and do not let me be occupied with what You provide me with and do not deprive me and I ask You not to punish me and I seek You Forgiveness (repeat three times)

O Allah, bless and grant peace to our master Muhammad and his family.

O Allah, I ask You and turn my face to You, for the sake of Your Beloved Mustafa in Your Presence, O our Beloved, O our master Muhammad, I seek your mediation to Your Lord to intercede for us with the Great Master, O what a Pure Messenger.

O Allah, grant us his intercession for the sake of his honor in Your Presence. (repeat three times)

And make us the best of those who ask blessings and peace upon him.

And make us the best of those who are near to him and who are received by him.

And the best of those who are in love with him and are loved in his presence.

And have mercy on us because of him in the courtyards of the Day of Resurrection.

And make him a sign for us to Garden of delights, burden less, trouble-free, unopposed and make him our welcome.

Let him not be angry with us.

And forgive us and our parents and all the submitted ones (the Muslims), living and dead, and our final prayer is praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds.

(beginning of the fourth quarter)

So I ask You, O Allah, O Allah, O Allah, O Life, O Everlasting, O Master of Majesty and Honor, there is no god but You, Glory to You I am one lost in the darkness.

I ask You for the sake of that which shoulders Your Throne from Your Might Oceans, Your Majesty Oceans, Your Beauty Oceans, Your Power Oceans, Your Strength Oceans, and for the sake of the reality of Your guarded and hidden and pure Names, which no created being can attain to, and for the sake of the reality of the Name which when laid upon the night it darkens, when laid upon the day it lightens, when laid upon the heavens they rise, when laid upon the earth it is made laid firm, when laid upon the seas they rolls, when laid upon the springs they burst forth and when laid upon the clouds they rain.

I ask You in the names written on the forehead of our master Gabriel peace be upon him.

I ask You in the names written on the forehead of our master Israfil peace be upon him.

And upon all the angels, and I ask You in the Names written around the Throne and in the Names written around the Footstool.

O Allah, I ask You in the most majestic names with which You have named Yourself, and in the reality of all Your Names those of which I am aware and those of which I am not aware.

And I You, O Allah, in the name in which our master Adam peace be upon him called You.

And I You, O Allah, in the name in which our master Noah peace be upon him called You.

And I You, O Allah, in the name in which our master Salih peace be upon him called You.

And I You, O Allah, in the name in which our master Jacob peace be upon him called You.

And I You, O Allah, in the name in which our master Joseph peace be upon him called You.

And I You, O Allah, in the name in which our master Jonah peace be upon him called You.

And I You, O Allah, in the name in which our master Moses peace be upon him called You.

And I You, O Allah, in the name in which our master Aaron peace be upon him called You.

And I You, O Allah, in the name in which our master Shua’ib peace be upon him called You.

And I You, O Allah, in the name in which our master Abraham peace be upon him called You.

And I You, O Allah, in the name in which our master Ishmael peace be upon him called You.

And I You, O Allah, in the name in which our master David peace be upon him called You.

And I You, O Allah, in the name in which our master Soloman peace be upon him called You.

And I You, O Allah, in the name in which our master Zacharaia peace be upon him called You.

And I You, O Allah, in the name in which our master John the Baptist peace be upon him called You.

And I You, O Allah, in the name in which our master Joshua peace be upon him called You.

And I You, O Allah, in the name in which our master Khidr peace be upon him called You.

And I You, O Allah, in the name in which our master Elias peace be upon him called You.

And I You, O Allah, in the name in which our master Esau peace be upon him called You.

And I You, O Allah, in the name in which our master Dhu Kifl peace be upon him called You.

And I You, O Allah, in the name in which our master Jesus son of Mary, peace be upon him called You.

And I You, O Allah, in the name in which our master Muhammad, the blessings and peace be Allah be upon him, called You, Your Prophet, Your Messenger, Your Friend.

O He who said, His word is true, ‘And Allah created You and what you do. There is no action, no word, no movement and no inactivity which originates from His slaves, but that it has already been preordained in His knowledge, His Destiny and His Decree. As I was inspired and destined to compile this book and the method and means were facilitated for me, and all doubts and misgivings about this noble Prophet were removed from my heart, and love for him overcame the love for all relations and loved ones, I ask You, O Allah, O Allah, O Allah, that you grant me, and all who love him and follow, his intercession and his company on the Day of Account, without any disputing, any punishment, any reproach, any censure and forgive me my sins and conceal my failings, O Granter, O Forgiver.

And favor me with a glance at Your Noble Face among the dear ones on the Day of Excess and Reward.

And accept from me my actions and annul all of my failings, lapses and mistakes which You have knowledge of and grant me a visit to his tomb and peace be upon him and his Companions to the utmost limit of my hope from Your Favor, Your Grace, Your Generosity, Your Nobility, O Gracious, O Merciful, O Sovereign.

And reward his on my behalf and on behalf of every Muslim man and Woman, living or dead, who believes in him and follows him, better than, more perfect than and more extensively than You have rewarded anyone from Your creation, O Powerful, O Mighty, O Sublime. And I ask You O Allah, by the reality of my swearing by You, that You bless our master Muhammad and the family of our master Muhammad in all that You created before the sky was built, the earth was spread out the mountains were raised, the springs burst forth, the oceans were subdued the rivers streamed out, the sun shone forth, the moon beamed and the stars illuminated the sky and no one know where You were but You.

And bless him and his family as many times the number of Your words.

And bless him and his family as many times as there are verses and letters in the Qur’an.

And bless him and his family as many times as those who ask You to bless him and his family as many times as those who neglect to ask You to bless him.

And bless him and his family as much as the earth and bless him and his family as much as the Pen has written in the Mother of the Book.

And bless him and his family as much as You have created in Your Seven Heavens.

And bless him and his family as much as You will create in them until the Day of Resurrection and every day a thousand times.

And bless him and his family in every single drop of rain and in the total of all the rain which has fallen from Your sky to the earth from the day You created this world until the Day of Resurrection and every day a thousand times.

Supplications often recited by Prophet Muhammad  Peace Be Upon Him.

 

In The name of Allah,The Most Merciful,The Most gracious

“Prayer is the best form of worship.” (Abu Dawud)

It has been said that each part of the Prophet Muhammad’s life entailed supplication and entreaty to God. The following is a brief compilation of supplications often recited by the Prophet.

1.      “My Lord, I ask from You guidance and truth.” (Muslim)

3.      “My Lord, I ask from You guidance, piety, chastity and wealth.” (Muslim)

4.      “O Allah, Who changes and turns hearts; turn our hearts towards obedience to You.”   (Muslim)

5.      “Allah inspire me with truth and protect me from the evil of my nafs.” (Tirmidhi)

6.      “O Allah, Who changes and turns hearts; make my heart firm in Your religion.” (Tirmidhi)

7.      “O my Lord! I ask from You beneficial knowledge, pleasant rizq (livelihood) and actions that are accepted by You.” (Ibn Mace)

8.      “My Lord, forgive me, be merciful to me, give me health and rizq.” (Muslim)

9.      “My Lord, forgive my sins, show me mercy, guide me, give me health and rizq.” (Muslim)

10.  “My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done and from the evil of what I have not done.” (Muslim)

11.  “I seek refuge in Allah from severe trouble, misery, bad fate, and the quarrels of enemies.” (Bukhari-Muslim)

12.  “My Lord, give us goodness in this world, give us goodness in the next world, and protect us from the torment of Hell.” (Bukhari-Muslim)

13.  “My Lord, I seek shelter in You from the sedition of Hell, the torment of hell, and the evil of wealth and poverty.” (Abu Dawud)

14.  “My Lord, I seek refuge in You from hunger; it is an extremely bad friend. I seek refuge in You from treachery; it is an extremely bad companion.” (Abu Dawud)

15.  “My Lord, I seek refuge in You so that Your blessings do not leave me, so that the health with which You have blessed me is not reversed; I seek refuge in You from sudden torment and every type of pain.” (Muslim)

16.  “My Lord, enlighten my heart, make my tongue, my ears, my eyes, what is behind me, in front of me, above me and beneath me enlightened. My Lord, increase my light.” (Bukhari-Muslim)

17.  “O Al-Hay and Al-Qayyum! I seek assistance from You alone; order my life and do not leave me alone with my nafs even for the blink of an eye.” (Hakim)

18.  “My Lord, I desire love actions that will bring me love from You, the love of those You love and love for You. My Lord, make my love for You dearer than my nafs, my family or cold water. ” (Tirmidhi)

19.  “My Lord, I seek refuge in You from weakness, laziness, cowardliness, old age and miserliness. I seek refuge in You from the torment of the grave. I seek refuge in You from sedition in life and death.” (Muslim)

20.  “My Lord, all my gratitude is to You. You have girded me with it. I desire the blessing of this garment and the blessings done for the sake of this garment. I seek refuge in You from the evil it does and that is done for its sake.” (Tirmidhi)

21.  “My Lord, I desire all those things that invoke Your mercy, all those that require Your forgiveness; I desire to remain free from all sin, to gain all the bounties of goodenss, to gain heaven and to be rescued from hell.” (Muslim)

22.  “My Lord, better my religion that protects what I do, better my world that provides me sustenance, better the afterlife, the place where I will go. Be the means for searching for all the blessings in life, be the means of being saved from all the evils of death.” (Muslim)

23.  “In the name of Allah, I rely on Allah. My Lord! I seek refuge in You from losing my way and causing others to lose theirs, from being demeaned and from demeaning, from being oppressed and oppressing, from ignorance and from leaving others in ignorance.” (Tirmidhi)

24.  “All my thanks are to Allah, for He is enough for me and He grieves for me; again, all my praise is for Him, for He sustains me and waters me. He gives me bounties and I am grateful that Allah has made me the most honored of mankind. I ask You to protect me from the fire.” (Abu Dawud)

25.  “My Lord, I surrender to You, I believe in You, I rely on You, I turn to You, I plead Your cause and I apply to You. Forgive me for what I have done before and for what I have left until later; forgive me for what I have done openly and secretly. You are the one Who advances and Who impedes. There is no god but You.” (Bukhari-Muslim)

26.  “My Lord, I seek refuge in You from weakness, laziness, miserliness, old age and the torment of the grave. My Lord, grant my nafs taqwa and purify it. You are the one Who will cleanse it the best. You are its owner and master. My Lord, I seek refuge with You from useless knowledge, hearts that fear nothing, insatiable nafs and prayers that are not accepted.” (Muslim)

27.  “My Lord! I wish for health from You in the world and the after world; My Lord, I desire health and forgiveness from You in the matter of my religion, my world, my family and my property. My Lord, cover my shame. Make me safe from my fears. Protect me from them in front, from behind, on my right, on my left and above me. I seek refuge in Your majesty from those under me.” (Abu Dawud)

28.  “My Lord, forgive me my errors and my ignorance, forgive excess in my actions and those things You know better than me. My Lord, forgive me in earnestness and in jest, forgive what I do by accident and on purpose. All of These are in me. My Lord, forgive what I do and send ahead and what I do not do and leave behind; forgive those things that are open and hidden and those that You know better than me. You are the one Who advances and Who leaves behind. You are the fate of all things.” (Bukhari-Muslim)

29.  “My Lord, You are my Lord, there is no god but You. You have created me and I am Your servant; while my strength lasts I will keep Your treaty and promise. I seek refuge with You from the evil of what I have done, I give to You the blessings that I have gained and I confess my sins; cover them and forgive me. No one but You can forgive sins.” (Bukhari)

30.  “My Lord, all my thanks are with You. You are the light of the earth and the sky and all that is in them. All thanks are to You because You are the only one Who controls the earth and the sky and all that is in it. And again all praise belongs to You because You are Hak, and the promise will be met with You. It is the truth that we will meet You, that there is Heaven and  Hell, it is true that there are Prophets, the Day of Judgment of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh); this is all this is the truth. My Lord, I surrender to You, I believe in You, I rely on You, I turn to You, I repent, I struggle in Your name, I have chosen You as my judge. From give all my sins, past and present, open and secret. You are my God; there is no god but You. There is no power or strength but the power and strength of all-glorious Allah.” (Bukhari-Muslim)

31.  “The Creator of the skies and the earth, the one Who knows the visible and the invisible, the Lord of everything, the sovereign and owner Allah! I witness that there is no god but You. I seek refuge with You from the evil of my nafs, the devil and his associates. I seek refuge in You O Allah, once again, from the evil of my nafs and its impulse to commit a crime against Muslims.” (Tirmidhi)

1 : Woman’s Pray at Home is better than Going to Mosque

Narrated by Ibn ‘Umar: Allah’s Apostle said: “Do not prevent women (wives, mothers, daughters, sisters, etc) from (praying at) mosques. Yet, their prayer at home is better (for them).”

2 : Woman’s Freedom to Go out for their Needs

Narrated by ‘Aisha  Ummul Mu’minin : Allah’s Apostle said: “You (women) have been allowed to go out for your needs.”

3 : Evils behind Unnecessary Socialising of Unveiled Women

Narrated by Ibn Mas’ud: Allah’s Apostle said: “(Unveiled) woman is a cause of corruption. Once she goes out Satan beautifies her in the eyes of men (to seduce her as well as them). At her home, she is the closest (to the face) of her Lord.”

4 : Woman should take the Permission of Her Husband before Going out

Narrated by Ibn Umar: One of the wives of Umar (bin Al-Khattab) used to offer the Fajr and the ‘Isha’ prayer in congregation in the Mosque. She was asked why she had come out for the prayer as she knew that Umar disliked it, and he has great “ghaira” (self-respect). She replied, “What prevents him from stopping me from this act?” The other replied, “The statement of Allah’s Apostle (p.b.u.h): ‘Do not stop Allah’s women-slave from going to Allah’s Mosques. “

5: Prohibition on Women Regarding Putting Perfumes when Going out

Narrated by Abu Mousa Al Ash’ari: Allah’s Apostle said: “If a woman uses perfume and passes the people so that they may get its odor, she is so-and-so, meaning severe remarks. (i.e. about to commit adultery).”

6 : Prohibition on Women regarding showing her Charms when Going out

Narrated by Fudhalah ibn ‘Ubaid: Allah’s Apostle said: “Three persons are doomed …. Among them a woman whose husband is not present and provides for her; yet she shows her charms to (foreign) men.”

7 : Women should not travel without Mahram

Narrated by Ibn ‘Abbas: Allah’s Apostle said: “A woman should not travel except with a Dhu-Mahram (her husband or a man with whom that woman cannot marry at all according to the Islamic Jurisprudence).” A man got up and said, “O Allah’s Apostle! I intend to go to such and such an army and my wife wants to perform Hajj.” The Prophet said (to him), “Go along with her (to Hajj).”

8 : Women should have their own Entrance to the Mosque

Narrated by Ibn ‘Umar: Allah’s Apostle said: “Should we leave this entrance (at the Mosque, i.e. Al Masjid AL Nabawi ) only for women to enter.” The sub-narrator, Ibn Nafie’ said: “Ibn ‘Umar did not use this entrance (after that) until his death.”

9 : Women should not walk in the middle of the street

Narrated by Abi Ausaid Al Ansari: While Allah’s Apostle was going out of the mosque he saw all men and women in the road. He told the women: “You should wait behind. You should not walk in the middle of the road.” The narrator said: “women afterwards used to walk so close to the wall so that their dresses often stick to it.”

10 : Women should perform Tawaf without mingling with men

Narrated by Ibn Jarieh said ‘Ata had told him when Ibn Hashim prevented women from performing Tawaf with men: how could he prevent them while the wives of the Prophet performed Tawaf with men?” I (i.e. Ibn Jarieh) said: before or after (the verse of) hijab (was revealed)? He said: “Upon my life, after hijab.” “How could they intermix with men?” I asked. “They didn’t,” he replied. “’Aisha used to perform Tawaf at a dividing space from men; she didn’t intermingle with them.”

Chapter 11 : Men shouldn’t enter freely into private places where foreign women are

Narrated by ‘Uqba bin ‘Amir: Allah’s Apostle said, “Beware of entering homes or rooms in which foreign ladies are.” A man from the Ansar said, “Allah’s Apostle! What about (Al-Hamu) the in-laws of the wife (the brothers of her husband or his nephews etc.)?” The Prophet replied: The in-laws of the wife are death itself.”

Chapter 12 : Women should have their own learning venues

Narrated by Abu Huraira: A group of women came to Allah’s Prophet and said to him: “We cannot attend your majlis (gathering) of men, so, appoint us a day to come to you (alone).” He said: “We will meet at the house of so and so.” He went to them on the specified date and place. Among what he said at that day to the present women was “any woman who rises up three children for the sake of Allah will enter paradise.” One woman said: “And two?” “And two,” the Prophet said.

Chapter 13 : Women should not Carry Funeral

Narrated by Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri :Allah’s Apostle said, When the funeral is ready and the men carry it on their shoulders, if the deceased was righteous he will say, ‘Present me (hurriedly),’ and if he was not righteous, he will say, ‘Woe to (me)! Where are they taking (me)?’ his voice is heard by everything except man and if he heard it he would fall unconscious.”

Chapter 14 : Women should not take off their clothes outside their homes

Narrated by Abu Al Mulaih Al Hathli: Some women from Homs asked for permission to visit ‘Aisha’s and she said: “Perhaps you belong to the place where women enter hot baths (for washing), I heard the Apostle of Allah saying: If a woman puts off her clothes in a place other than her house, she tears the veil between her and Allah.

Chapter 15: Woman should not Describe another woman to her husband

Narrated by ‘Abdullah ibn Mas’oud: The Prophet said, “A woman should not look at or touch another woman to describe her to her husband in such a way as if he were actually looking at her.”

Chapter 16: Women should not speak unnecessarily in the presence of foreign men

Narrated by Abu Huraira : The Prophet said, “The saying ‘Sub Han Allah’ is for men and clapping is for women i.e.” (If something happens during the prayer talking is not allowed, except the men can invite the attention of the Imam by saying “Sub Han Allah (i.e. Glorified be Allah )”, and women, by clapping their hands).

Chapter 17 : Prohibition of lamentation over the dead

Narrated by Um ‘Atiyya: At the time of giving the pledge of allegiance to the Prophet one of the conditions was that we would not wail, but it was not fulfilled except by five women.

Chapter 18 : Exchange of salutation between men and women once there is no temptation

Narrated by Asmaa (R.A.): Allah’s Apostle passed by a group of women near the mosque. He waved his hand to them in salutation and said: “Beware of being ungrateful to your husbands, beware of being ungrateful to your husbands.”

Chapter 19 : Men and women may talk to each other in good intention

Narrated by Anas bin Malik (R.A.): The Prophet passed by a woman who was sitting and weeping beside a grave and said to her, “Fear Allah and be patient.”

Chapter 20: A woman can offer herself in marriage to the righteous man

Narrated by Anas (R.A.): “A woman came to the Prophet offering herself to him in marriage, saying, “Have you got any interest in me (i.e. would you like to marry me?)” Anas’ daughter said, “How shameless that woman was!” On that Anas said, “She is better than you for, she presented herself to Allah’s Apostle (for marriage).”

Chapter 21 : A woman should not be married against her will

Narrated by Abdullah ibn Abbas (R.A.): A virgin came to the Prophet and mentioned that her father had married her to a man against her will, so the Prophet allowed her to exercise her choice.

Another hadith asserts this point.

Narrated by Abdullah ibn Abbas (R.A.):

The Prophet said: A guardian has no concern with a woman previously married and has no husband, and a virgin must be consulted; her silence being her acceptance. (Book 5, Number 2095: Abu Dawud)

Chapter 22 : A woman is not allowed to promise her husband not to marry after he dies

Narrated by Um Mubashir(R.A.): Allah’s Apostle proposed to the widow of Al Baraa bin Ma’rour but she told him: “I promised my (dead) husband not to marry after him.” “This promise is not valid,” said the Prophet

Chapter 23 : A woman should not ask for divorce without a reason

Narrated by Thawban (R.A.): Allah’s Apostle said, “Any woman who asks divorce from her husband without a reason, the smell of Paradise is prohibited for her.”

Chapter 24 : Young women can sing and play the tambourine in weddings and similar occasions

Narrated by Ar-Rubai’ bint Mu’auwith(R.A.): The Prophet came to me after consuming his marriage with me and sat down on my bed as you (the sub-narrator) are sitting now, and small girls were beating the tambourine and singing in lamentation of my father who had been killed on the day of the battle of Badr. Then one of the girls said, “There is a Prophet amongst us who knows what will happen tomorrow.” The Prophet said (to her),” Do not say this, but go on saying what you have spoken before.”

Chapter 25 : Wives have great duty towards their husbands

Narrated by ‘Abullah bin Abi Awfa (R.A.): Allah’s Apostle Said, “Had I ordered a person to prostrate to someone rather than Allah, I would have ordered the wife to prostrate to her husband. By Allah, who holds the soul of Muhammad in his hands, the wife will not be fulfilling her duty towards Allah until she fulfills her duty towards her husband. If he asks her (for sexual intercourse) while she is on a camel (what means, being busy), she should not disobey him.”

Chapter 26 : Angels curses the disobedient wife

Narrated by Abu Huraira (R.A.): Allah’s Apostle said, “If a husband calls his wife to his bed (i.e. to have sexual relation) and she refuses and causes him to sleep in anger, the angels will curse her till morning.”

Chapter 27 : Woman should be grateful to her husband

Narrated by Abdullah ibn Abbas (R.A.): Allah’s Apostle said, “I also saw the Hell-fire and I had never seen such a horrible sight. I saw that most of the inhabitants were women.” The people asked, “O Allah’s Apostle! Why is it so?” The Prophet replied, “Because of their ungratefulness.” It was asked whether they are ungrateful to Allah. The Prophet said, “They are ungrateful to their companions of life (husbands) and ungrateful to good deeds. If you are benevolent to one of them throughout the life and if she sees anything (undesirable) in you, she will say, ‘I never had any good from you.’ “

Chapter 28 : Woman should not obey her husband if ordered to do a sin

Narrated by ‘Aisha Ummul Mu’minin : An Ansari woman (From the Supports) gave her daughter in marriage and the hair of the latter started falling out. The Ansari women came to the Prophet and mentioned that to him and said, “Her (my daughter’s) husband suggested that I should let her wear false hair.” The Prophet said, “No, (don’t do that) for Allah sends His curses upon such ladies who lengthen their hair artificially.”

Chapter 29 : Woman should not donate from her money unless upon husband’s consent

Allah’s Apostle said: “A woman, once married, should ask for husband’s consent if she wants to give away a gift (or donation) from her money.”

Chapter 30 : Woman should help her husband and his dependents

Narrated by Jabir bin ‘Abdullah: “My father died and left seven or nine girls and I married a matron”. Allah’s Apostle said to me, “O Jabir! Have you married?” I said, “Yes.” He said, “A virgin or a matron?” I replied, “A matron.” he said, “Why not a virgin, so that you might play with her and she with you, and you might amuse her and she amuse you.” I said, ” ‘Abdullah (my father) died and left girls, and I dislike to marry a girl like them, so I married a lady (matron) so that she may look after them.” On that the Prophet said, “May Allah bless you,” or “That is good.”

Chapter 31: Husband should provide for wife and children

Narrated by ‘Aisha  Ummul Mu’minin: Hind (bint ‘Utba) said, “O Allah’s Apostle! Abu Sufyan is a miser. Is there any harm if I take of his property what will cover me and my children’s needs?” The Prophet said, “Take (according to your needs) in a reasonable manner.”

Chapter 32 : Prohibition of changing Allah’s creations unnecessarily

Narrated by ‘Abdullah: Allah has cursed those women who practice tattooing and those who get themselves tattooed, and those who remove their face hairs, and those who create a space between their teeth artificially to look beautiful, and women changing the features created by Allah. Why then should I not curse those whom the Prophet has cursed? And that is in Allah’s Book. i.e. His Saying: ‘And what the Apostle gives you take it and what he forbids you abstain (from it).’ (59.7)

Chapter 33 : Woman should not wear tight clothes

Narrated by Abu Huraira( R.A ): Allah’s Apostle said, “Two are the types of the denizens of Hell whom I did not see: people having flogs like the tails of the ox with them and they would be beating people, and the women who would be dressed but appear to be naked, who would be inclined (to evil) and make their husbands incline towards it. Their heads would be like the humps of the bukht (very huge) camel inclined to one side. They will not enter Paradise and they would not smell its odor whereas its odor would be smelt from such and such distance.”

Chapter 34 : Woman should not wear false hair like Jews

Narrated by Sa’eed bin Al Musayyib(R.A.): Mu’awiya came to Medina and he addressed us and took out a bunch of hair and said: I never saw but the Jews using this (adding of artificial hair) and I can well recall that when this act would reached Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him), he would name it as cheating.

In another narration Mu’awiya said one day : Should I tell you the evil make-up. Allah’s Apostle forbade cheating. It was during that time that a person came with a staff and there was a cloth on its head, whereupon Mu’awiya said: Behold, that is cheating. Qutada (the sub-narrator) said: This implies how women artificially increase their hair with the help of rags.

Chapter 35 : Woman should not lie and adopt falsehood

Narrated by A’sha Ummul Mu’minin that a woman came to Allah’s Apostle) and said: I have a co-wife. Is there any harm for me if I give her the false impression (of getting something from my husband which he has not in fact given me)? Thereupon Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: The one who creates such a (false impression) of receiving what one has not been given is like one who wears the garment of falsehood.

Chapter 36 : Women should not wear high shoes

Narrated by Abu Sa’eed Al Khudri, Allah’s Apostle said :” A Jewish women used to put two wooden legs to lengthen her shoes, so that no one could recognize her, for she was very short.” The Prophet forbade this action that is a kind of cheating others.

Chapter 37 : Women should not shave their heads

Narrated by Ibn ‘Abbas ( R.A.): Allah’s Apostle said, “Women do not have to shave their head, only to shorten their hair (i.e. in hajj and other practices)”

Chapter 38 : Women’s dying their hands and feet with henna

Narrated by ‘A’isha, Ummul Mu’minin: A woman made a sign from behind a curtain to indicate that she had a letter for the Apostle of Allah. The Prophet closed his hand, saying: I do not know this is a man’s or a woman’s hand. She said: No, a woman. He said: If you were a woman, you would make a difference to your nails, meaning with henna.

Chapter 39: Women should cover her face in the presence of foreign men

Narrated by ‘Abdullah bin Umar: A person stood up and asked, “O Allah’s: Apostle! What clothes may be worn in the state of Ihram?” The Prophet replied, “Do not wear a shirt or trousers, or any headgear, and also do not wear anything perfumed with Wars or saffron, and the Muhrima (a woman in the state of Ihram) should not cover her face, or wear gloves.”

Chapter 40 : Women are allowed to wear gold and silk

Narrated Abu Musa Al ‘Ashari: Allah’s Apostle said, “Wearing silk (clothes) and gold is no allowed for the males of my Ummah but allowed to the females.”

Chapter 41 : Women, not men, are allowed to wear clothes dyed in saffron

Narrated by ‘Abdullah b. ‘Amr: Allah’s Apostle saw me in two clothes dyed in saffron, whereupon he said: Has your mother ordered you to do so? And I said: I will wash them. He said: But burn them.

Chapter 42 : Women should not show their ornaments to foreign men

Narrated by Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said, “Woe unto women from the two reds: gold and saffron-dyed clothes.”

Chapter 43: Women should not imitate men in dress, movements, and way of speech

Narrated by Ibn ‘Abbas: Allah’s Apostle cursed those men who are in the similitude (assume the manners) of women and those women who are in the similitude (assume the manners) of men.

50 Words of Wisdom from Prophet Mohammad [Peace Be Upon Him]

1.. “Acquire knowledge, it enables its professor to distinguish right from wrong; it lights the way to heaven. It is our friend in the desert, our company in solitude and companion when friendless. It guides us to happiness, it sustains us in misery, it is an ornament amongst friends and an arm our against enemies.” (widely attributed to the Prophet Mohammed (P.B.U.H.)

2.. “A Muslim who plants a tree or sows a field, from which man, birds and animals can eat, is committing an act of charity.” (Muslim)

3.. “There is a polish for everything that takes away rust; and the polish for the heart is the remembrance of Allah.” (Bukhari)

Before Sleeping

 

 

1- بِاسْمِكَ رَبِّـي وَضَعْـتُ جَنْـبي ، وَبِكَ أَرْفَعُـه، فَإِن أَمْسَـكْتَ نَفْسـي فارْحَـمْها ، وَإِنْ أَرْسَلْتَـها فاحْفَظْـها بِمـا تَحْفَـظُ بِه عِبـادَكَ الصّـالِحـين .

Bismika rabbee wadaAAtu janbee wabika arfaAAuh, fa-in amsakta nafsee farhamha, wa-in arsaltaha fahfathha bima tahfathu bihi AAibadakas-saliheen.
‘In Your name my Lord, I lie down and in Your name I rise, so if You should take my soul then have mercy upon it, and if You should return my soul then protect it in the manner You do so with Your righteous servants.’

2- اللّهُـمَّ إِنَّـكَ خَلَـقْتَ نَفْسـي وَأَنْـتَ تَوَفّـاهـا لَكَ ممَـاتـها وَمَحْـياها ، إِنْ أَحْيَيْـتَها فاحْفَظْـها ، وَإِنْ أَمَتَّـها فَاغْفِـرْ لَـها . اللّهُـمَّ إِنَّـي أَسْـأَلُـكَ العـافِـيَة . [مسلم 4/2083]

Allahumma innaka khalaqta nafsee wa-anta tawaffaha, laka mamatuha wamahyaha in ahyaytaha fahfathha, wa-in amattaha faghfir laha. Allahumma innee as-alukal-AAafiyah.
‘O Allah, verily You have created my soul and You shall take its life, to You belongs its life and death. If You should keep my soul alive then protect it, and if You should take its life then forgive it. O Allah, I ask You to grant me good health.’

3- اللّهُـمَّ قِنـي عَذابَـكَ يَـوْمَ تَبْـعَثُ عِبـادَك . (ثلاثاً) [أبو داود 4/311]

Allahumma qinee AAathabaka yawma tabAAathu AAibadak.
‘O Allah, protect me from Your punishment on the day Your servants are resurrected.’ (three times)

4- بِاسْـمِكَ اللّهُـمَّ أَمـوتُ وَأَحْـيا . [البخاري مع الفتح 11/113 ومسلم 4/2083]

Bismikal-lahumma amootu wa-ahya.
‘In Your name O Allah, I live and die.’

5- الـحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذي أَطْـعَمَنا وَسَقـانا، وَكَفـانا، وَآوانا، فَكَـمْ مِمَّـنْ لا كـافِيَ لَـهُ وَلا مُـؤْوي. [مسلم 4/2085]

Alhamdu lillahil-lathee atAAamana wasaqana, wakafana, wa-awana, fakam mimman la kafiya lahu wala mu/wee.
‘All praise is for Allah, Who fed us and gave us drink, and Who is sufficient for us and has sheltered us, for how many have none to suffice them or shelter them.’

6- اللّهُـمَّ عالِـمَ الغَـيبِ وَالشّـهادةِ فاطِـرَ السّماواتِ وَالأرْضِ رَبَّ كُـلِّ شَـيءٍ وَمَليـكَه، أَشْهـدُ أَنْ لا إِلـهَ إِلاّ أَنْت، أَعـوذُ بِكَ مِن شَـرِّ نَفْسـي، وَمِن شَـرِّ الشَّيْـطانِ وَشِـرْكِه، وَأَنْ أَقْتَـرِفَ عَلـى نَفْسـي سوءاً أَوْ أَجُـرَّهُ إِلـى مُسْـلِم . [أبو داود 4/317]

Allahumma AAalimal-ghaybi washshahadah, fatiras-samawati wal-ard, rabba kulli shayin wamaleekah, ashhadu an la ilaha illa ant, aAAoothu bika min sharri nafsee wamin sharrish-shaytani washirkih, wa-an aqtarifa AAala nafsee soo-an aw ajurrahu ila muslim.
‘O Allah, Knower of the seen and the unseen, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Lord and Sovereign of all things I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except You. I take refuge in You from the evil of my soul and from the evil and shirk of the devil, and from committing wrong against my soul or bringing such upon another Muslim.’ shirk: to associate others with Allah in those things which are specific to Him. This can occur in (1) belief, e.g. to believe that other than Allah has the power to benefit or harm, (2) speech, e.g. to swear by other than Allah and (3) action, e.g. to bow or prostrate to other than Allah.

7- اللّهُـمَّ أَسْـلَمْتُ نَفْـسي إِلَـيْكَ، وَفَوَّضْـتُ أَمْـري إِلَـيْكَ، وَوَجَّـهْتُ وَجْـهي إِلَـيْكَ، وَأَلْـجَـاْتُ ظَهـري إِلَـيْكَ، رَغْبَـةً وَرَهْـبَةً إِلَـيْكَ، لا مَلْجَـأَ وَلا مَنْـجـا مِنْـكَ إِلاّ إِلَـيْكَ، آمَنْـتُ بِكِتـابِكَ الّـذي أَنْزَلْـتَ وَبِنَبِـيِّـكَ الّـذي أَرْسَلْـت . [البخاري مع الفتح 11/113 ومسلم 4/2081]

Allahumma aslamtu nafsee ilayk, wafawwadtu amree ilayk, wawajjahtu wajhee ilayk, wa-alja/tu thahree ilayk, raghbatan warahbatan ilayk, la maljaa wala manja minka illa ilayk, amantu bikitabikal-lathee anzalt, wabinabiyyikal-lathee arsalt.
‘O Allah, I submit my soul unto You, and I entrust my affair unto You, and I turn my face towards You, and I totally rely on You, in hope and fear of You. Verily there is no refuge nor safe haven from You except with You. I believe in Your Book which You have revealed and in Your Prophet whom You have sent.’

2- اللّهُـمَّ إِنَّـكَ خَلَـقْتَ نَفْسـي وَأَنْـتَ تَوَفّـاهـا لَكَ ممَـاتـها وَمَحْـياها ، إِنْ أَحْيَيْـتَها فاحْفَظْـها ، وَإِنْ أَمَتَّـها فَاغْفِـرْ لَـها . اللّهُـمَّ إِنَّـي أَسْـأَلُـكَ العـافِـيَة . [مسلم 4/2083]

Allahumma innaka khalaqta nafsee wa-anta tawaffaha, laka mamatuha wamahyaha in ahyaytaha fahfathha, wa-in amattaha faghfir laha. Allahumma innee as-alukal-AAafiyah.
‘O Allah, verily You have created my soul and You shall take its life, to You belongs its life and death. If You should keep my soul alive then protect it, and if You should take its life then forgive it. O Allah, I ask You to grant me good health.’

3- اللّهُـمَّ قِنـي عَذابَـكَ يَـوْمَ تَبْـعَثُ عِبـادَك . (ثلاثاً) [أبو داود 4/311]

Allahumma qinee AAathabaka yawma tabAAathu AAibadak.
‘O Allah, protect me from Your punishment on the day Your servants are resurrected.’ (three times)

4- بِاسْـمِكَ اللّهُـمَّ أَمـوتُ وَأَحْـيا . [البخاري مع الفتح 11/113 ومسلم 4/2083]

Bismikal-lahumma amootu wa-ahya.
‘In Your name O Allah, I live and die.’

5- الـحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذي أَطْـعَمَنا وَسَقـانا، وَكَفـانا، وَآوانا، فَكَـمْ مِمَّـنْ لا كـافِيَ لَـهُ وَلا مُـؤْوي. [مسلم 4/2085]

Alhamdu lillahil-lathee atAAamana wasaqana, wakafana, wa-awana, fakam mimman la kafiya lahu wala mu/wee.
‘All praise is for Allah, Who fed us and gave us drink, and Who is sufficient for us and has sheltered us, for how many have none to suffice them or shelter them.’

6- اللّهُـمَّ عالِـمَ الغَـيبِ وَالشّـهادةِ فاطِـرَ السّماواتِ وَالأرْضِ رَبَّ كُـلِّ شَـيءٍ وَمَليـكَه، أَشْهـدُ أَنْ لا إِلـهَ إِلاّ أَنْت، أَعـوذُ بِكَ مِن شَـرِّ نَفْسـي، وَمِن شَـرِّ الشَّيْـطانِ وَشِـرْكِه، وَأَنْ أَقْتَـرِفَ عَلـى نَفْسـي سوءاً أَوْ أَجُـرَّهُ إِلـى مُسْـلِم . [أبو داود 4/317]

Allahumma AAalimal-ghaybi washshahadah, fatiras-samawati wal-ard, rabba kulli shayin wamaleekah, ashhadu an la ilaha illa ant, aAAoothu bika min sharri nafsee wamin sharrish-shaytani washirkih, wa-an aqtarifa AAala nafsee soo-an aw ajurrahu ila muslim.
‘O Allah, Knower of the seen and the unseen, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Lord and Sovereign of all things I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except You. I take refuge in You from the evil of my soul and from the evil and shirk of the devil, and from committing wrong against my soul or bringing such upon another Muslim.’ shirk: to associate others with Allah in those things which are specific to Him. This can occur in (1) belief, e.g. to believe that other than Allah has the power to benefit or harm, (2) speech, e.g. to swear by other than Allah and (3) action, e.g. to bow or prostrate to other than Allah.

7- اللّهُـمَّ أَسْـلَمْتُ نَفْـسي إِلَـيْكَ، وَفَوَّضْـتُ أَمْـري إِلَـيْكَ، وَوَجَّـهْتُ وَجْـهي إِلَـيْكَ، وَأَلْـجَـاْتُ ظَهـري إِلَـيْكَ، رَغْبَـةً وَرَهْـبَةً إِلَـيْكَ، لا مَلْجَـأَ وَلا مَنْـجـا مِنْـكَ إِلاّ إِلَـيْكَ، آمَنْـتُ بِكِتـابِكَ الّـذي أَنْزَلْـتَ وَبِنَبِـيِّـكَ الّـذي أَرْسَلْـت . [البخاري مع الفتح 11/113 ومسلم 4/2081]

Allahumma aslamtu nafsee ilayk, wafawwadtu amree ilayk, wawajjahtu wajhee ilayk, wa-alja/tu thahree ilayk, raghbatan warahbatan ilayk, la maljaa wala manja minka illa ilayk, amantu bikitabikal-lathee anzalt, wabinabiyyikal-lathee arsalt.
‘O Allah, I submit my soul unto You, and I entrust my affair unto You, and I turn my face towards You, and I totally rely on You, in hope and fear of You. Verily there is no refuge nor safe haven from You except with You. I believe in Your Book which You have revealed and in Your Prophet whom You have sent.’

1- أَمْسَيْـنا وَأَمْسـى المـلكُ لله وَالحَمدُ لله ، لا إلهَ إلاّ اللّهُ وَحدَهُ لا شَريكَ لهُ، لهُ المُـلكُ ولهُ الحَمْـد، وهُوَ على كلّ شَيءٍ قدير ، رَبِّ أسْـأَلُـكَ خَـيرَ ما في هـذهِ اللَّـيْلَةِ وَخَـيرَ ما بَعْـدَهـا ، وَأَعـوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَـرِّ هـذهِ اللَّـيْلةِ وَشَرِّ ما بَعْـدَهـا ، رَبِّ أَعـوذُبِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَـلِ وَسـوءِ الْكِـبَر ، رَبِّ أَعـوذُبِكَ مِنْ عَـذابٍ في النّـارِ وَعَـذابٍ في القَـبْر . [مسلم 4/2088]

Amsayna wa-amsal-mulku lillah walhamdu lillah la ilaha illal-lah, wahdahu la shareeka lah, lahul-mulku walahul-hamd, wahuwa AAala kulli shayin qadeer, rabbi as-aluka khayra ma fee hathihil-laylah, wakhayra ma baAAdaha, wa-aAAoothu bika min sharri hathihil-laylah, washarri ma baAAdaha, rabbi aAAoothu bika minal-kasal, wasoo-il kibar, rabbi aAAoothu bika min AAathabin fin-nar, waAAathabin fil-qabr.
‘We have reached the evening and at this very time unto Allah belongs all sovereignty, and all praise is for Allah. None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise and He is over all things omnipotent. My Lord, I ask You for the good of this night and the good of what follows it and I take refuge in You from the evil of this night and the evil of what follows it. My Lord, I take refuge in You from laziness and senility. My Lord, I take refuge in You from torment in the Fire and punishment in the grave.’

2- اللّهُـمَّ بِكَ أَمْسَـينا، وَبِكَ أَصْـبَحْنا، وَبِكَ نَحْـيا، وَبِكَ نَمـوتُ وَإِلَـيْكَ المَصـير . [الترمذي 5/466]

Allahumma bika amsayna, wabika asbahna, wabika nahya wabika namootu wa-ilaykal-maseer.
‘O Allah, by Your leave we have reached the evening and by Your leave we have reached the morning, by Your leave we live and die and unto You is our return.’

3- اللّهـمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّـي لا إلهَ إلاّ أَنْتَ ، خَلَقْتَنـي وَأَنا عَبْـدُك ، وَأَنا عَلـى عَهْـدِكَ وَوَعْـدِكَ ما اسْتَـطَعْـت ، أَعـوذُبِكَ مِنْ شَـرِّ ما صَنَـعْت ، أَبـوءُ لَـكَ بِنِعْـمَتِـكَ عَلَـيَّ وَأَبـوءُ بِذَنْـبي فَاغْفـِرْ لي فَإِنَّـهُ لا يَغْـفِرُ الذُّنـوبَ إِلاّ أَنْتَ . [البخاري 7/150]

Allahumma anta rabbee la ilaha illa ant, khalaqtanee wa-ana AAabduk, wa-ana AAala AAahdika wawaAAdika mas-tataAAt, aAAoothu bika min sharri ma sanaAAt, aboo-o laka biniAAmatika AAalay, wa-aboo-o bithanbee, faghfir lee fa-innahu la yaghfiruth-thunooba illa ant.
‘O Allah, You are my Lord, none has the right to be worshipped except You, You created me and I am Your servant and I abide to Your covenant and promise as best I can, I take refuge in You from the evil of which I have committed. I acknowledge Your favour upon me and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for verily none can forgive sin except You.’

4- اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أَمسيتُ أَُشْـهِدُك ، وَأُشْـهِدُ حَمَلَـةَ عَـرْشِـك ، وَمَلائِكَتِك ، وَجَمـيعَ خَلْـقِك ، أَنَّـكَ أَنْـتَ اللهُ لا إلهَ إلاّ أَنْـتَ وَحْـدَكَ لا شَريكَ لَـك ، وَأَنَّ ُ مُحَمّـداً عَبْـدُكَ وَرَسـولُـك .(أربع مرات) [أبو داود 4/317]

Allahumma innee amsaytu oshhiduk, wa-oshhidu hamalata AAarshik, wamala-ikatak, wajameeAAa khalqik, annaka antal-lahu la ilaha illa ant, wahdaka la shareeka lak, wa-anna Muhammadan AAabduka warasooluk (four times).
‘O Allah, verily I have reached the evening and call on You, the bearers of Your throne, Your angles, and all of Your creation to witness that You are Allah, none has the right to be worshipped except You, alone, without partner and that Muhammad is Your Servant and Messenger.’ (four times.)

5- اللّهُـمَّ ما أَمسى بي مِـنْ نِعْـمَةٍ أَو بِأَحَـدٍ مِـنْ خَلْـقِك ، فَمِـنْكَ وَحْـدَكَ لا شريكَ لَـك ، فَلَـكَ الْحَمْـدُ وَلَـكَ الشُّكْـر . [أبو داود 4/318]

Allahumma ma amsa bee min niAAmatin, aw bi-ahadin min khalqik, faminka wahdaka la shareeka lak, falakal-hamdu walakash-shukr.
‘O Allah, what blessing I or any of Your creation have risen upon, is from You alone, without partner, so for You is all praise and unto You all thanks.’

6- اللّهُـمَّ عافِـني في بَدَنـي ، اللّهُـمَّ عافِـني في سَمْـعي ، اللّهُـمَّ عافِـني في بَصَـري ، لا إلهَ إلاّ أَنْـتَ .
اللّهُـمَّ إِنّـي أَعـوذُبِكَ مِنَ الْكُـفر ، وَالفَـقْر ، وَأَعـوذُبِكَ مِنْ عَذابِ القَـبْر ، لا إلهَ إلاّ أَنْـتَ . (ثلاثاً) [أبو داود 4/324]

Allahumma AAafinee fee badanee, allahumma AAafinee fee samAAee, allahumma AAafinee fee basaree, la ilaha illa ant.
Allahumma innee aAAoothu bika minal-kufr, walfaqr, wa-aAAoothu bika min AAathabil-qabr, la ilaha illa ant (three times).
‘O Allah, grant my body health, O Allah, grant my hearing health, O Allah, grant my sight health. None has the right to be worshipped except You.’
‘O Allah, I take refuge with You from disbelief and poverty, and I take refuge with You from the punishment of the grave. None has the right to be worshipped except You.’ (three times)

7- حَسْبِـيَ اللّهُ لا إلهَ إلاّ هُوَ عَلَـيهِ تَوَكَّـلتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ العَرْشِ العَظـيم . ( سبع مَرّات حينَ يصْبِح وَيمسي) [أبو داود موقوفاً 4/321]

Hasbiyal-lahu la ilaha illa huwa, AAalayhi tawakkalt, wahuwa rabbul-AAarshil-AAatheem
‘Allah is Sufficient for me, none has the right to be worshipped except Him, upon Him I rely and He is Lord of the exalted throne.’ (seven times morning and evening)

8- أَعـوذُبِكَلِمـاتِ اللّهِ التّـامّـاتِ مِنْ شَـرِّ ما خَلَـق . (ثلاثاً إِذا أمسى) [أحمد 2/290، وصحيح الترمذي 3/187]

aAAoothu bikalimatil-lahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq.
‘I take refuge in Allah’s perfect words from the evil He has created.’ (three times in the evening)

9- اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أسْـأَلُـكَ العَـفْوَ وَالعـافِـيةَ في الدُّنْـيا وَالآخِـرَة ، اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أسْـأَلُـكَ العَـفْوَ وَالعـافِـيةَ في ديني وَدُنْـيايَ وَأهْـلي وَمالـي ، اللّهُـمَّ اسْتُـرْ عـوْراتي وَآمِـنْ رَوْعاتـي ، اللّهُـمَّ احْفَظْـني مِن بَـينِ يَدَيَّ وَمِن خَلْفـي وَعَن يَمـيني وَعَن شِمـالي ، وَمِن فَوْقـي ، وَأَعـوذُ بِعَظَمَـتِكَ أَن أُغْـتالَ مِن تَحْتـي . [صحيح ابن ماجه 2/332]

Allahumma innee as-alukal-AAafwa walAAafiyah, fid-dunya wal-akhirah, allahumma innee as-alukal-AAafwa walAAafiyah fee deenee, wadunyaya wa-ahlee, wamalee, allahummas-tur AAawratee, wa-amin rawAAatee, allahummah-fathnee min bayni yaday, wamin khalfee, waAAan yameenee, waAAan shimalee, wamin fawqee, wa-aAAoothu biAAathamatika an oghtala min tahtee.
‘O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in this life and the next. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religious and worldly affairs, and my family and my wealth. O Allah, veil my weaknesses and set at ease my dismay. O Allah, preserve me from the front and from behind and on my right and on my left and from above, and I take refuge with You lest I be swallowed up by the earth.’

10- اللّهُـمَّ عالِـمَ الغَـيْبِ وَالشّـهادَةِ فاطِـرَ السّماواتِ وَالأرْضِ رَبَّ كـلِّ شَـيءٍ وَمَليـكَه ، أَشْهَـدُ أَنْ لا إِلـهَ إِلاّ أَنْت ، أَعـوذُ بِكَ مِن شَـرِّ نَفْسـي وَمِن شَـرِّ الشَّيْـطانِ وَشِـرْكِه ، وَأَنْ أَقْتَـرِفَ عَلـى نَفْسـي سوءاً أَوْ أَجُـرَّهُ إِلـى مُسْـلِم. Bismil-lahil-lathee la yadurru maAAas-mihi shay-on fil-ardi wala fis-sama-i wahuwas-sameeAAul-AAaleem.
‘In the name of Allah with whose name nothing is harmed on earth nor in the heavens and He is The All-Seeing, The All-Knowing.’(three times)

12- رَضيـتُ بِاللهِ رَبَّـاً وَبِالإسْلامِ ديـناً وَبِمُحَـمَّدٍ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَبِيّـاً . (ثلاثاً) [أبو داود 4/318]

Radeetu billahi rabban wabil-islami deenan wabiMuhammadin peace be upon to him nabiyya.
‘I am pleased with Allah as a Lord, and Islam as a religion and Muhammad peace be upon to him as a Prophet.’(three times

13- سُبْحـانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْـدِهِ عَدَدَ خَلْـقِه ، وَرِضـا نَفْسِـه ، وَزِنَـةَ عَـرْشِـه ، وَمِـدادَ كَلِمـاتِـه . (ثلاثاً) [مسلم 4/2090]

Subhanal-lahi wabihamdih, AAadada khalqihi warida nafsih, wazinata AAarshih, wamidada kalimatih.
‘How perfect Allah is and I praise Him by the number of His creation and His pleasure, and by the weight of His throne, and the ink of His words.’(three times)

14- سُبْحـانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْـدِهِ . (مائة مرة) [مسلم 4/2071]

Subhanal-lahi wabihamdih.
‘How perfect Allah is and I praise Him.’(one hundred times)

15- يا حَـيُّ يا قَيّـومُ بِـرَحْمَـتِكِ أَسْتَـغـيث ، أَصْلِـحْ لي شَـأْنـي كُلَّـه ، وَلا تَكِلـني إِلى نَفْـسي طَـرْفَةَ عَـين . [صحيح الترغيب والترهيب 1/273]

Ya hayyu ya qayyoom, birahmatika astagheeth, aslih lee sha/nee kullah, wala takilnee ila nafsee tarfata AAayn.
‘O Ever Living, O Self-Subsisting and Supporter of all, by Your mercy I seek assistance, rectify for me all of my affairs and do not leave me to myself, even for the blink of an eye.’

16- لا إلهَ إلاّ اللّهُ وحْـدَهُ لا شَـريكَ لهُ، لهُ المُـلْكُ ولهُ الحَمْـد، وهُوَ على كُلّ شَيءٍ قَدير . (مائة مرة) [البخاري 4/95 ومسلم 4/2071]

La ilaha illal-lah, wahdahu la shareeka lah, lahul-mulku walahul-hamd, wahuwa AAala kulli shay-in qadeer.
‘None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise, and He is over all things omnipotent.’ (one hundred times)

17- أَمْسَيْـنا وَأَمْسـى المُـلكُ للهِ رَبِّ العـالَمـين ، اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أسْـأَلُـكَ خَـيْرَ هـذا الـيَوْم ، فَـتْحَهُ ، وَنَصْـرَهُ ، وَنـورَهُ وَبَـرَكَتَـهُ ، وَهُـداهُ ، وَأَعـوذُ بِـكَ مِـنْ شَـرِّ ما فـيهِ وَشَـرِّ ما بَعْـدَه . [أبو داود 4/322]

Amsayna wa-amsal-mulku lillahi rabbil-AAalameen, allahumma innee as-aluka khayra hathal-yawm, fat-hahu, wanasrahu, wanoorahu, wabarakatahu, wahudahu, wa-aAAoothu bika min sharri ma feehi, washarri ma baAAdah.
‘We have reached the evening and at this very time all sovereignty belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds. O Allah, I ask You for the good of this day, its triumphs and its victories, its light and its blessings and its guidance, and I take refuge in You from the evil of this day and the evil that follows it.’

1- أَصْـبَحْنا وَأَصْـبَحَ المُـلْكُ لله وَالحَمدُ لله ، لا إلهَ إلاّ اللّهُ وَحدَهُ لا شَريكَ لهُ، لهُ المُـلكُ ولهُ الحَمْـد، وهُوَ على كلّ شَيءٍ قدير ، رَبِّ أسْـأَلُـكَ خَـيرَ ما في هـذا اليوم وَخَـيرَ ما بَعْـدَه ، وَأَعـوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَـرِّ هـذا اليوم وَشَرِّ ما بَعْـدَه، رَبِّ أَعـوذُبِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَـلِ وَسـوءِ الْكِـبَر ، رَبِّ أَعـوذُبِكَ مِنْ عَـذابٍ في النّـارِ وَعَـذابٍ في القَـبْر. [مسلم 4/2088]

Allahumma innee asbahtu oshhiduk, wa-oshhidu hamalata AAarshik, wamala-ikatak, wajameeAAa khalqik, annaka antal-lahu la ilaha illa ant, wahdaka la shareeka lak, wa-anna Muhammadan AAabduka warasooluk (four times).

5- اللّهُـمَّ ما أَصْبَـَحَ بي مِـنْ نِعْـمَةٍ أَو بِأَحَـدٍ مِـنْ خَلْـقِك ، فَمِـنْكَ وَحْـدَكَ لا شريكَ لَـك ، فَلَـكَ الْحَمْـدُ وَلَـكَ الشُّكْـر . [أبو داود 4/318]

Allahumma ma asbaha bee min niAAmatin, aw bi-ahadin min khalqik, faminka wahdaka la shareeka lak, falakal-hamdu walakash-shukr.
‘O Allah, what blessing I or any of Your creation have risen upon, is from You alone, without partner, so for You is all praise and unto You all thanks.’

6- اللّهُـمَّ عافِـني في بَدَنـي ، اللّهُـمَّ عافِـني في سَمْـعي ، اللّهُـمَّ عافِـني في بَصَـري ، لا إلهَ إلاّ أَنْـتَ . (ثلاثاً)
اللّهُـمَّ إِنّـي أَعـوذُبِكَ مِنَ الْكُـفر ، وَالفَـقْر ، وَأَعـوذُبِكَ مِنْ عَذابِ القَـبْر ، لا إلهَ إلاّ أَنْـتَ . (ثلاثاً) [أبو داود 4/324]

Allahumma AAafinee fee badanee, allahumma AAafinee fee samAAee, allahumma AAafinee fee basaree, la ilaha illa ant.(three times).
Allahumma innee aAAoothu bika minal-kufr, walfaqr, wa-aAAoothu bika min AAathabil-qabr, la ilaha illa ant (three times).
‘O Allah, grant my body health, O Allah, grant my hearing health, O Allah, grant my sight health. None has the right to be worshipped except You.’ (three times)
‘O Allah, I take refuge with You from disbelief and poverty, and I take refuge with You from the punishment of the grave. None has the right to be worshipped except You.’ (three times)

7- حَسْبِـيَ اللّهُ لا إلهَ إلاّ هُوَ عَلَـيهِ تَوَكَّـلتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ العَرْشِ العَظـيم . ( سبع مَرّات حينَ يصْبِح وَيمسي) [أبو داود موقوفاً 4/321]

Hasbiyal-lahu la ilaha illa huwa, AAalayhi tawakkalt, wahuwa rabbul-AAarshil-AAatheem
‘Allah is Sufficient for me, none has the right to be worshipped except Him, upon Him I rely and He is Lord of the exalted throne.’ (seven times morning and evening)

8- أَعـوذُبِكَلِمـاتِ اللّهِ التّـامّـاتِ مِنْ شَـرِّ ما خَلَـق . (ثلاثاً إِذا أمسى) [أحمد 2/290، وصحيح الترمذي 3/187]

aAAoothu bikalimatil-lahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq.
‘I take refuge in Allah’s perfect words from the evil He has created.’ (three times in the evening)

9- اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أسْـأَلُـكَ العَـفْوَ وَالعـافِـيةَ في الدُّنْـيا وَالآخِـرَة ، اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أسْـأَلُـكَ العَـفْوَ وَالعـافِـيةَ في ديني وَدُنْـيايَ وَأهْـلي وَمالـي ، اللّهُـمَّ اسْتُـرْ عـوْراتي وَآمِـنْ رَوْعاتـي ، اللّهُـمَّ احْفَظْـني مِن بَـينِ يَدَيَّ وَمِن خَلْفـي وَعَن يَمـيني وَعَن شِمـالي ، وَمِن فَوْقـي ، وَأَعـوذُ بِعَظَمَـتِكَ أَن أُغْـتالَ مِن تَحْتـي . [صحيح ابن ماجه 2/332]

Allahumma innee as-alukal-AAafwa walAAafiyah, fid-dunya wal-akhirah, allahumma innee as-alukal-AAafwa walAAafiyah fee deenee, wadunyaya wa-ahlee, wamalee, allahummas-tur AAawratee, wa-amin rawAAatee, allahummah-fathnee min bayni yaday, wamin khalfee, waAAan yameenee, waAAan shimalee, wamin fawqee, wa-aAAoothu biAAathamatika an oghtala min tahtee.
‘O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in this life and the next. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religious and worldly affairs, and my family and my wealth. O Allah, veil my weaknesses and set at ease my dismay. O Allah, preserve me from the front and from behind and on my right and on my left and from above, and I take refuge with You lest I be swallowed up by the earth.’

10- اللّهُـمَّ عالِـمَ الغَـيْبِ وَالشّـهادَةِ فاطِـرَ السّماواتِ وَالأرْضِ رَبَّ كـلِّ شَـيءٍ وَمَليـكَه ، أَشْهَـدُ أَنْ لا إِلـهَ إِلاّ أَنْت ، أَعـوذُ بِكَ مِن شَـرِّ نَفْسـي وَمِن شَـرِّ الشَّيْـطانِ وَشِـرْكِه ، وَأَنْ أَقْتَـرِفَ عَلـى نَفْسـي سوءاً أَوْ أَجُـرَّهُ إِلـى مُسْـلِم. [صحيح الترمذي 3/142]

Allahumma AAalimal-ghaybi washshahadah, fatiras-samawati wal-ard, rabba kulli shayin wamaleekah, ashhadu an la ilaha illa ant, aAAoothu bika min sharri nafsee wamin sharrish-shaytani washirkih, waan aqtarifa AAala nafsee soo-an aw ajurrahu ila muslim.
‘O Allah, Knower of the unseen and the seen, Creator of the heavens and the Earth, Lord and Sovereign of all things, I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except You. I take refuge in You from the evil of my soul and from the evil and shirk of the devil, and from committing wrong against my soul or bringing such upon another Muslim.’

11- بِسـمِ اللهِ الذي لا يَضُـرُّ مَعَ اسمِـهِ شَيءٌ في الأرْضِ وَلا في السّمـاءِ وَهـوَ السّمـيعُ العَلـيم . (ثلاثاً) [أبو داود 4/323]

Bismil-lahil-lathee la yadurru maAAas-mihi shay-on fil-ardi wala fis-sama-i wahuwas-sameeAAul-AAaleem.
‘In the name of Allah with whose name nothing is harmed on earth nor in the heavens and He is The All-Seeing, The All-Knowing.’(three times)

12- رَضيـتُ بِاللهِ رَبَّـاً وَبِالإسْلامِ ديـناً وَبِمُحَـمَّدٍ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَبِيّـاً . (ثلاثاً) [أبو داود 4/318]

Radeetu billahi rabban wabil-islami deenan wabiMuhammadin peace be upon to him nabiyya.
‘I am pleased with Allah as a Lord, and Islam as a religion and Muhammad peace be upon to him as a Prophet.’(three times

13- سُبْحـانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْـدِهِ عَدَدَ خَلْـقِه ، وَرِضـا نَفْسِـه ، وَزِنَـةَ عَـرْشِـه ، وَمِـدادَ كَلِمـاتِـه . (ثلاثاً) [مسلم 4/2090]

Subhanal-lahi wabihamdih, AAadada khalqihi warida nafsih, wazinata AAarshih, wamidada kalimatih.
‘How perfect Allah is and I praise Him by the number of His creation and His pleasure, and by the weight of His throne, and the ink of His words.’(three times)

14- سُبْحـانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْـدِهِ . (مائة مرة) [مسلم 4/2071]

Subhanal-lahi wabihamdih.
‘How perfect Allah is and I praise Him.’(one hundred times)

15- يا حَـيُّ يا قَيّـومُ بِـرَحْمَـتِكِ أَسْتَـغـيث ، أَصْلِـحْ لي شَـأْنـي كُلَّـه ، وَلا تَكِلـني إِلى نَفْـسي طَـرْفَةَ عَـين . [صحيح الترغيب والترهيب 1/273]

Ya hayyu ya qayyoom, birahmatika astagheeth, aslih lee sha/nee kullah, wala takilnee ila nafsee tarfata AAayn.
‘O Ever Living, O Self-Subsisting and Supporter of all, by Your mercy I seek assistance, rectify for me all of my affairs and do not leave me to myself, even for the blink of an eye.’

16- لا إلهَ إلاّ اللّهُ وحْـدَهُ لا شَـريكَ لهُ، لهُ المُـلْكُ ولهُ الحَمْـد، وهُوَ على كُلّ شَيءٍ قَدير . (مائة مرة) [البخاري 4/95 ومسلم 4/2071]

La ilaha illal-lah, wahdahu la shareeka lah, lahul-mulku walahul-hamd, wahuwa AAala kulli shay-in qadeer.
‘None has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone, without partner, to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise, and He is over all things omnipotent.’ (one hundred times)

17- أَصْبَـحْـنا وَأَصْبَـحْ المُـلكُ للهِ رَبِّ العـالَمـين ، اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أسْـأَلُـكَ خَـيْرَ هـذا الـيَوْم ، فَـتْحَهُ ، وَنَصْـرَهُ ، وَنـورَهُ وَبَـرَكَتَـهُ ، وَهُـداهُ ، وَأَعـوذُ بِـكَ مِـنْ شَـرِّ ما فـيهِ وَشَـرِّ ما بَعْـدَه . [أبو داود 4/322]

Asbahna wa-asbahal-mulku lillahi rabbil-AAalameen, allahumma innee as-aluka khayra hathal-yawm, fat-hahu, wanasrahu, wanoorahu, wabarakatahu, wahudahu, wa-aAAoothu bika min sharri ma feehi, washarri ma baAAdah.
‘We have reached the morning and at this very time all sovereignty belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds. O Allah, I ask You for the good of this day, its triumphs and its victories, its light and its blessings and its guidance, and I take refuge in You from the evil of this day and the evil that follows it.’
